Piedmont Bushings & Insulators, LLC is an integrated manufacturer of toroidal wound current transformers and sensors. We've been making current transformers for more than 40 years and have the electrical insulation design experience to coincide with our electrical expertise. Insulation failures of our transformers over the years are non existent.

We offer many hundreds of standard current transformers for you to choose from, and by using in-house developed computer programs, new designs can be readily available.

Using high grade silicone steels we wind and anneal our own cores, apply the winding, package this “basic” CT by either taping it, capturing it in an injection molded case, or encapsulating it in one of our proven epoxy or urethane resins. Every transformer is then tested to the applicable ANSI or IEC Standard, and permanent record kept of the serial number and performance. We supply certified test reports when required and can meet all of your stringent requirements.
